The Oil Rig is the Latest monument in Rust, Located in the ocean. Here's a guide video that tells you everything you need to know about the oil rig. It has things like the loot, scientists, services (infrastructure) and much, much more. The Oil Rig is the Latest monument in Rust, Located in the ocean. Similar to the Small Oil Rig, a locked crate will appear on the top deck. Once you start hacking it, the Chinook helicopter will swoop in and drop off 5 Heavy Scientists to mess up your day. Edit: The Large Oil Rig has been added to the Hapis Island map. Puzzle solutions There are a total of 3 puzzles (green, blue, RUST 101: Electricity Guide – Oil Rig Event Alarm. Hello everyone, thanks for watching the video. I'm not the greatest PVPer in rust by a long shot.However with the right tools (guns) anyone can solo oil rig if they have the right tactics. Accessible by boat or Minicopter, this monument spawns once per map in the depths of the ocean, far from the main island of Rust (out of view of the in game map even). The Small Oil Rig features two puzzles, several levels to explore, ~20 blue Scientist NPC’s, and one main point of ingress from the water.
